How much time it will take federal returns to direct deposit
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If your return was electronically filed and you requested direct deposit for your refund, under normal circumstances the IRS states that 9 out of 10 refunds will be issued within 21 days after your return has been accepted for processing. Due to the current pandemic situation, processing may be taking longer than normal.
You can check the status of your Federal refund through the IRS Where's My Refund tool: IRS -- Where's My Refund?
See the following TurboTax article for more information: Where's My Tax Refund: How to check your refund status
If your return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS can give you further information about why you have not received your refund.
My refund is approved on Apr/22/2020 but I didn’t received my refund till now. Pls help me out
Currently, refunds are taking a bit longer to process for many taxpayers. Unfortunately, there isn't a solution available.
The IRS is working with limited staffing.
I just wanted to know the maximum time for refund. Because my friend already received there own refund they filled on May 01
There is no max time ... it will take as long as it takes since the IRS is trying to catch up after being mostly closed for 8 weeks.
Hello,
Is there any idea about? Where should I get the information about how much time more.
@Surya1 "Accepted" and "approved" are not the same thing.
You are always going to find someone else whose refund arrived faster, and someone who waited even longer than you. That is the way it goes. Returns are not processed “first in — first out.” as it is,
Waiting is frustrating—refunds are taking longer in many cases. These are not normal times. It is not possible for TurboTax to speed up the IRS for you. They are short staffed; and they are processing millions of tax returns at the same time that they have been burdened with the task of processing millions of stimulus checks.
IRS phone lines supported by customer service representatives for both taxpayers and tax professionals are not staffed at this time. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

How should I know that my federal is accepted or approved?????
Is that any way to check?
when I am trying to check out with my turbo tax app. So I seen that ready to mail???
@Surya1 If the IRS is showing you information that says your refund is being processed, then they have it and they are working on it. Even if you mailed it earlier in the tax season, your TurboTax account is only going to show "ready to mail." The software has no way to know that you put your return in an envelope and took it to a mailbox, so that "ready to mail" message will never change or update. The screenshot you posted indicates the IRS is processing your tax return. So now you wait for them to finish processing it and issue your refund.
TurboTax does not receive updates. Your only source of information is that site.
Hello Sir,
I just want to know that if I have received state tax. So it means that my tax is approved.
It is not possible to e-file a state return unless your federal return was e-filed successfully and accepted by the IRS. If the state shows that your state return was accepted, then your federal return was also accepted.
Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities, There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.
STATE RETURN

Is anybody pls tell how much time?
It almost more than 8 weeks but I didn’t received my federal tax.
Due to the virus processing returns have been delayed between by both the feds and the state and there is no set time table to refer to ... all you can do is check the fed/state tools every few days for progress updates.
