My refund is 1500$ short. I have no offsets, I called and checked. Mine came from TPG as well as everyone else. I need this problem fixed immediately. When I called turbotax abt the ordeal, they acted as if they knew nothing abt any issues from anybody, which is proven wrong apparently. What can be done?

I received $179 of $1696. I went through Turbotax and deposit can from TPG. From what im seeing on here, im not the only one. How & when is it going to be fixed??
Only the IRS knows exactly why they adjusted your return. If your IRS-issued tax refund comes in around $35 or $40 less than the amount shown in TurboTax, it's probably because you used the Refund Processing Service option to deduct your Turbo Tax fees from your federal tax refund. There's a separate processing fee for this service, which is deducted from your federal refund in addition to your TurboTax fees.
But a $1500 adjustment was done by the IRS. They will be sending out a letter explaining the adjustment. If you need details before you get the letter, you will need to contact the IRS; they are the only organization that will be able to tell you what the $1500 adjustment was for.
See Why is my refund different than the amount on the tax return I filed? This is the IRS information page. I am not sure which agency you called to check on a possible offset, but maybe you have another debt with a different agency (unemployment, state, federal, child support, etc.)? The changed could also be due to the Recovery Rebate or something else and not related to an offset at all. But again, only the IRS will be able to tell you exactly what triggered the adjustment.
Nobody can get in touch with the IRS as im sure you know. There's no reason for any adjustments. Ive done the exact same process every year with turbotax. Plug and play. Basic $39. Never had any issues until this year. I dont have any offsets, I checked. So I need someone to figure it out. This isn't a coincidence
The IRS can give you a better explanation of why you refund is reduced.
