Hi I filed my refund on April 12 and it says on the irs website that it still processing.
Why is it taking more than 21 days since I efiled?

The IRS is actually closed, they are still processing e-filed returns but it is taking longer due to being short staffed. You would need to keep checking the IRS website, Where's My Refund, for updates about your return & refund. The website updates once a day.
