Erroneously clicked RPS. Using TT Deluxe CD version for desktop with free e-filing of federal and one state tax return. I have a bank account for depositing the refunds, as used for the past 10 years of filing my tax returns with TT. So did not need to click RPS. My big mistake.
I know that if this had been made clearer on that first screen about an alternate refund process I would not have clicked it.
The next day contacted Turbo Tax and RPS requesting tech assistance to cancel this RPS part. In response, they said that it's impossible to amend, modify, or cancel given how the TT and RPS programming is currently designed in TT. Further, that my tax information will be shared for up to a year with RPS affiliates for marketing purposes. Hard lesson learned.

I've always bought the Home & Business CD but it's the same. I am not an employee but volunteer here. Here are 2 screens. One from 2023 and one of prior years. Will these help?

Sorry. Yes you have to go slow and read all the screens and watch what you click on. People get going too fast and clicking on the right corner box to continue. But you have to click on the left box to pay with a credit card to avoid the fee. See the very last post with screenshot on this one
And by the way, you don't get one free state filing. In the Desktop program you get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is $20 to efile, usually goes up to $25 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.
