Refund lower than expected

Is it the amount of the state refund ?  That comes separately from a totally different taxing authority.

Did you have the TT fees withheld from the refund ? 

If the feds or state send less than expected then a letter of explanation is sent in the next 2 weeks ... wait for that notice.

Turbo Tax guaranteed that the filing was approved.  I will wait for the letter of explanation, but have concerns that you would indicate something was approved when it wasn't.

No one  guarantee approvals ... it  is not possible that any preparer or tax program  could guarantee what the taxing authority will do with your return once it is efiled ... all they can do is let you know the IRS or State has ACCEPTED the return for processing and nothing more.  After that you must watch the federal or state web sites for progress updates.
