What does the IRS website indicate for the amount of the federal tax refund that was sent - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
we expected 4,800 and then sent 629 It said that it could be a social security number, or her age or she made too much money

Most of these reductions are due to the IRS removing the Recovery Rebate Credit from your tax return because they have records which show you were already sent the 3rd stimulus payment. Or it may also be the advanced Child Tax Credit sent in 2021 where they have records showing you received more of the credit then you reported.
The IRS will be sending you a letter in the mail within a few weeks explaining what they changed on your tax return which reduced your tax refund. If you agree with the changes there is nothing more you need to do. If you disagree with the changes there is a procedure in the letter for how to dispute the IRS changes.
