Refund came back much lower than IRS approved

According to the IRS and to the treasury offset department I should be getting my full $4951 refund (not deducting the turbo tax fees) I received only $2022. I’ve talked to TPG, TT reps, several IRS #s, treasury offsets, debt management,  bureau of fiscal service, and internal revenue. So far I and everyone I have contacted cannot figure out why I’m missing anything much less nearly $3k from my refund. I’ve reached out to the BBB in hopes of getting something resolved. I’ve also got several hundreds of us on a different forum willing to get a class action lawsuit going. I demand answers and my tax money back. I’ve also a tiktok warning others and giving them resources to help, so far tons of people are saying they used turbotax for years and this year were robbed of their full refund with no answers as to why. I hate that I have to turn somewhere else in the future bc turbotax has always worked so for me, this year the line was crossed.

Same - there is about a $3000 difference in mine and what TT submitted and efiled.  my $8599 refund turned into $5678 (interesting number).  It is very unsettling to say the least when 3000 dollars just disappears and no one knows where it is.  

Edit:  I originally noted that my number was interesting (4 numbers in succession) and the original poster's number is $2022????  I know it's only 2 numbers so far but are people just typing numbers that somewhat have a pattern?

it’s so frustrating! I’ve called everywhere and no one has answers. I’ve been on the phone since 11am yesterday, since I saw my refund. I was counting on that refund so Im going to get to the bottom of this. I was on hold with TPG for almost 4 hours today before talking to someone for my first time and they were the first people I tried to contact at 11 AM YESTERDAY! they couldn’t tell me anything and when trying to give me different numbers to call conveniently that part of the website was down. I finally reached someone at treasury offsets that wasn’t a machine who told me I didn’t have any past or current offsets and wasn’t in their system at all and they gave me the number of internal revenue and c conveniently enough their server was down too. I have yet to reach a human being at the IRS but according to their website and voice machines my refund should be fully intact. When I reach customer service they tell me “there no agents in this department able to get to the phone try calling back the next business day” and then hang up!! It’s maddening!

@SForrestLO It’s been a few days now and never received an email. About 4 days ago you said I could expect the rest to hit my bank account in 24-48 hour under "Remaining Federal Refund Due" and still nothing. So Im having a hard time trust anything turbotax reps have to say. Not one thing has helped or been true this far.

If you used Refund Transfer, in this public forum, we do not have access to any information regarding refund processing. It would be necessary to contact TPG for additional information. They are one who handles your refund if you elected to pay your fees with your refund. You can also check out this TPG Help Article to check on your refund.

You don’t think I’ve already done that? TPG tells me to contact turboTax and then TurboTax tells me to contact the IRS and then the IRS tells me they have no idea why my refund is less so you’re just sending me again on more wild goose chases. how about instead of having me do all the legwork for your corruption you fix it yourself.
