I received a corrected 1099-div from e-trade. When I try to import from e-trade it imports the original one, and does not find the corrected one.
E-trade has verified the correct 1099-div is available to be imported but turbotax 2022 does not find it.
I tried starting a new tax return and a new import from e-trade, it finds the original one not the corrected.

If the corrected Form 1099-DIV is not importing properly, you can delete the original and either scan the corrected form and upload it, take a picture with your phone or enter it manually.
On the Let's import your tax info, please click on the Enter a different way button.
Then select Dividends and Continue.
@jaschris Stop beating your head against a wall...it will probably be there some week in the future
....BUT instead
______
You probably have access to the corrected one as a PDF download to your own computer...that you cna also print out.
THEN....Just go ahead and import the one that comes in from E-trade.....then "Edit" it to put in the corrected values off your paper copy..
I thought I had a similar problem with Merrill Lynch. When I logged into my ML account and look in the tax documents area, I can see two 1099 document files (the original, plus the corrected). After deleting all the ML 1099 forms (B, DIV, INT, MISC) from my TurboTax tax return, I went to import the corrected 1099 into TurboTax Deluxe for Windows desktop. But only one set of 1099s showed up on the import page (and there was no designation to identify which version it was). After importing, the import summary $ values (on the import page) looked the same as the original (uncorrected) 1099. But when I examined each individual 1099 form in my tax return, I found that the numbers all agreed with the corrected 1099s. So after importing make sure you examine each field in each 1099 to verify whether the corrected numbers were imported.
I don't know if the "magic" is implemented by ML or TurboTax, but it seems TurboTax may simply import the most recent (by date) 1099 file?
I am using the desktop version of the software, so I don't think the scan pdf works
This is something that e-trade and turbotax should have figured out. Its disappointing they point fingers while the customer struggles.
And I have fully removed the import via File -> Remove Imported Data several times, and even re-installed the software. So the problem still persists
Turbotax fixed the problem. It took more than a week but the last update now imports the e-trade corrected 1099. Thanks!. Turbotax should be quicker on this fix during tax season, but the end result it is working now.
