I think everyone who hasn't received their payments are on the edge, which is totally understandable. But , we all need to also understand that TurboTax /Intuit didn't know that we would be in the middle of a global pandemic . Some people are seriously sending death threats to TT representatives saying that they did this on purpose. How? When I used TurboTax to do my taxes , I wasn't thinking ....hmmmm, what if there's a crisis and the government will send me money , maybe I shouldn't use TT.
Nobody knew this was going to happen. I've used TT for many years and I am happy with the service I've received.
Ha ha ha lolololololol

I got locked out of the IRS website and so did a friend, all we had to do is go 24 hours WITHOUT trying to log in and AFTER 24 hours were up we were able to log in again. So just don't try again for 24 hours because every time you try the timer resets to 24 hours from the last try
@Ronhitchcock Thanks! Good to know. The get my payment tool is currently unavailable now.
What’s baffling is how does turbo tax say this but yet still no check deposited into the card 🤔 turbo tax trying to blame someone else for the **bleep** up
They pretty much are. They're putting it in our hands and the system isn't designed for it to workout and looking back at this questions forum there have been many many comments explaining what goes wrong and why we cant do it ourselves so what now... very disappointing
There's no need to do any of that, unless you just want to; plenty of people - literally millions - received their stimulus money on the Turbo Card, and anyone still can. It's a prepaid debit account like any other, and can receive direct deposits just fine, including payroll and ACH deposits. But if you had fees removed/an RAL, you're going to have to manually enter the information yourself on the "Get My Payment" page, as you know.
As for Santa Barbara Tax "throwing everyone to the wind"...that isn't exactly what happened. First, Santa Barbara Tax is owned by Green Dot, the same company that administrates the Turbo Card. For WHATEVER reason - and the IRS is calling it a "glitch" and Turbo Tax washing their hands of it - the IRS did not retain the direct deposit account and routing numbers of those individuals who had their refunds "garnished" by Santa Barbara to repay RAL's and/or fees. It would be assumed this would have something to do with the way Santa Barbara submitted the information to the IRS initially, since this "glitch" affected TurboTax, Jackson Hewitt, and H&R Block customers, all of whom had fees and/or RALs deducted. But regardless, it happened due to information submitted to the IRS WAY before the stimulus was ever enacted, since (in my case and many others) the IRS didn't have last year's Turbo Card information either, because they didn't save it in 2018 either (if you had fees taken out). But if you're under the impression that Santa Barbara Tax "rejected" the stimulus payments because they weren't getting paid, that isn't what happened. The IRS never sent those payments at all, as the Turbo Card information wasn't stored in their system at all. A rejection would have taken far longer within the IRS system to receive, process, and log. You wouldn't be able to put in your correct information at all at this point, your money would still show as having being sent to Santa Barbara's account.
I Updated my Direct Deposit information on the 15th when the portal was released.
As of 2AM, they are saying they're sending me a check NEXT Friday.
The first deposit went to SBTPG and was rejected because it's a "temporary account" because I had fees taken out and had the refund advance. So even though my 1040 has my Turbo Card DD Info on it, the IRS has the temporary account it was sent to. I won't be doing my taxes unless I can outright pay for it from now on. Lesson Learned!
Everyone that updated the direct deposit information is now getting a message on the get my payment portal that says they're getting a check mailed on April 24th . I think it might be a generic message though and people will really get a direct deposit
It asked everyone for their adjusted gross income
That's not the point All of this happened in 2008 when they sent the stimuluses out The same exact s*** happened they had 12 years to correct it.
Yes because you're not putting your info in correct. If you're not putting your address in exactly how it is on your tax return then you're getting locked out for 24 hours That's the only reason that's happening to everyone. If they live on let's say East Lombard Street they're spelling out east when they should only put a capital E they have to capitalize Lombard they have to capitalize street but only put ST not spell out street.
Well that's not true either because my girlfriend had the refund advance and had her fees taken out and she got hers Wednesday. I only had my fees taken out and I had to update my direct deposit information because it said it didn't have any on file. it said it would deposit it in the account I added but as of tonight now it's saying it's sending me a check on April 24th.
I had my refund deposited onto my TurboTax card and I also received an advance. I went to the IRS portal and put in my bank account information for direct deposit on Wednesday when it first opened up. When I checked back today to see the status
it said that they are mailing me a paper check on April 24th.
I'm so frustrated that I have to wait for this paper check! But, at least now I know the status and when it's coming.. Hope this helps someone.
