Why is the irs reviewing my taxes all of a sudden

Some reviews are completely random  or they may be requiring some kind of supporting documents for an item on your return.   Nothing you can do but wait patiently for the letter to arrive ... when it does calmly read it carefully,  see exactly what the IRS is looking for then respond as directed in a timely manner.
