Update increased my refund

I filed my return and it was accepted back in Feb. I just installed an update on Turbotax today and, it shows my refund is increased. Do I need to file an amendment to receive my increased refund? Or will IRS & State be adjusted automatically?

Update increased my refund

If you've already filed your return, the IRS will recalculate your taxes, adjust your account accordingly, and send any refund amount directly to you.  States are following a similar process.

The IRS strongly urges taxpayers not to file amended returns related to the new legislative provisions or take other unnecessary steps at this time.

How long should this process take? I tried to call the IRS to find out the status and they are not taking calls.

Update increased my refund

@Stephanienagel1117 The IRS is the only agency that can provide any type of update on your return. You can also try using the "Where's My Refund?" tool to get an estimated date of when you will receive your refund.
