I was filed as a dependent under my father in 2018 but I filed for myself in 2019. I have been trying to gain access to the Get My Payment under the IRS website and it keeps telling me Payment Unavailable. Does it matter if I was filed as a dependent in 2018 even though I filed for myself in 2019? Does that make me ineligible?
Also, it has been brought to my attention that it could be possible that because my W2's have a different address than my federal tax return that that could be the reason I am unable to receive the stimulus? I would appreciate if anyone could shine a light onto any of these topics for me. Thanks so much.

I can't tell you if you will receive the advance stimulus payment or not. However, I can tell you that if you are not a dependent when you file your 2020 tax return and you do not receive a stimulus payment before then, you will be eligible to receive an additional $1200 in your tax refund then. Although, it is highly likely that you will receive the advance later this month or next if you filed as a non-dependent on your 2019 tax return.
If you included your banking information on your 2019 tax return, you don't have to do anything more. If you need to update your banking information, use this link.
