Return Under Review, filed 2/4/20, still no economic impact payment

My return is still being processed and has been under review well over 60 days now. On the Get My Payment tool, I receive the same status every day about the stimulus payment: You are eligible for the payment. Once we have your payment date, we will update this page.

We will deposit your payment to the bank account below. My concerns are that people who are still waiting on refunds will not get the stimulus payment until the refund is issued. I have not heard correspondence since from the IRS about the review. Can’t get in touch with a taxpayer advocate. All of this is just insane especially when you’re a non essential worker and unemployment is taking 10x longer to process. Still have yet to receive that either.

I am sorry to hear about your situation.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 has caused all returns that were under review when the IRS limited operations to be delayed. It is very likely that the IRS may not address these particular returns until they fully reopen.

Regarding the stimulus, the IRS has not given TurboTax any official guidance as to when stimulus payments for every taxpayer will be released. As long as you provided your direct deposit information/card information or mailing address information, you will receive the stimulus when it is released to you (as long as you otherwise qualify for it).

If you don't receive the stimulus payment in 2020, you can always receive it as a credit on your 2020 return in 2021. The stimulus is actually an ADVANCE on a credit on your 2020 return.

My return also, dated 2/5/2020 has not been processed.  I think thus is quite strange with dates both in this week, both using intuit, both not received.

I did receive the first stimulus, I am sure they pulled info from 2018.

Additionally, I amended my 2018 return and mailed it in mid to late February, this check was received today.

This is screwy to say the least.

This is so terrible. Crazy thing is when I did the Get My Payment tool and I was told I was elegible but they didn’t have my DD, I entered my DD and AGI from my 2018 return since my 2019 was still processing, and it told me the info was not what they had on their files. So then I tried again putting in my DD and used the AGI from my 2019 return it accepted my DD

I have a feeling that Intuit set up bank accounts for us and our refunds were sent to them!!

I heard about this on the news!!!!

I will do it by hand forever after this!

My federal taxes we’re accepted 2/4/2020 - I received a notice from IRS by mail stating my return was under review and I would either receive my return in 60 days from the date of the letter or I would receive another letter by mail for future steps, well that letter was dated Feb 21st- and I have not received anything by mail or my return money.

I did however receive the stimulus check.

- It would be nice to be able to contact someone BUT  the IRS is not taking any calls at this time-

I didn't get a letter.  I bet Intuit has it giving out earned income credit when it shouldn't be in our cases.  I bet its an Intuit glitch.  Never using it again.
