Refund

I filed my taxes and the irs approved it on the 23rd saying it was mailed. How long before it post if I did direct deposit. I had to prove my identity so that was the first hold up. Just looking for some answers on my refund. Thanks

Did the IRS actually say it was Approved (not just Accepted) on the 23rd?  If so, the next step is Sent.  If it's being mailed to you, there is no direct deposit.  You are now at the mercy of the USPS.

No it said approved. I noticed it said mailed so I was right to think it’s being mailed to me versus to TurboTax then direct deposit?
