Refund problem (day 21)

I filed in January; accepted by IRS on 2/13 and today is day 21. The bars are gone on WMR and it says "Your return has been received and is still processing. A refund date will be provided when available."

Very basic return - married filing joint, 6 kids, 1 W2.

We did receive some stimulus money last year but not for the baby that was born in 2020 so the refund includes $1,100 in missing stimulus money for her. Is it possible this is holding it up?

I have checked and re-checked every single thing on my filing to be sure all the numbers were right.

Our NY return was accepted 2/25 and refund approved yesterday with direct deposit date of 3/9.

Did you also have missing stimulus money on your return? I know 2 dozen people who have gotten their refunds but none of them were missing stimulus money 😔

No but when I filed it only asked about the 1st stimulus, so I’m wondering if that is what   The hold up is

The Recovery Rebate Credit is calculated into your overall tax refund and will either increase a refund or decrease the amount of tax owed. The amount of your credit would be shown on Line 30 of your 1040 Form. Please check this line of your tax return to see what the amount of your credit was.

When you were completing your return, you had to include both payments in the recovery rebate form for the credit to calculate correctly. If you did not include the second payment received, your credit (and therefore amount of your refund or tax due) would be adjusted for the amount you received.

Lastly, the Recovery Rebate Credit is calculated based on your 2020 income. Per the IRS, your Recovery Rebate Credit amount will be phased out if your adjusted gross income for 2020 exceeds $150,000 if you are married filing a joint return or filing as a qualifying widow or widower, $112,500 if you are using the head of household filing status, or $75,000 if you are using any other filing status.

@coleen5835 Click this link to check your Refund Status.

Once the IRS says they have sent your refund to your bank, then check with Credit Karma.
