In my initial 2021 tax filing, I overpaid my taxes by ~$2,000. I subsequently amended my return (electronically) but have not received a refund yet. "Where's my refund?" cannot find the status of my refund, but I was able to reach an IRS rep by phone, and they told me they have received my amended return, and to be patient.
When I file my 2022 tax return, should I report the refund that I'm owed (and which TurboTax has on file) as if I've received it? Or go with the data on my original return where I overpaid? Or does it even matter? (I'm not sure how either case will affect my 2022 return)
Thanks for any advice.

What you paid on your 2021 return has no effect on your 2022 return. They are handled separately.
Thanks!
