Me too! Doesn't make any sense. The stimulus is not showing on my balance either.
Me too. Apparently, if you received an advance after you filed your taxes, it went straight to receiving the stimulus via check. From what I have read on other forums, there will be a new portal on the IRS website this Friday where we are able to change it to direct deposit.
In order to deliver money as quickly as possible to those who need it, the IRS is sending stimulus payments to eligible taxpayers who filed a tax return in either 2019 or 2018 and chose to receive their refund via direct deposit into their checking account. These taxpayers will automatically have their stimulus payment deposited into the account they received their refund.
We have not yet received confirmation from the IRS on whether they will be putting stimulus payments on prepaid debit cards. However, we have noticed that the IRS has started depositing stimulus payments on some prepaid debit cards for taxpayers that chose to receive their refund through that method in tax year 2019 or 2018. If you received your refund on a prepaid debit card in tax year 2019 or 2018, here is what you need to know:
The my payments link is now available
I would recommend you enter your direct deposit info ASAP!!
We've all used that link already. It says our money was deposited to an account ending in the last four of our socials so that link isn't helpful at this point. From what what stated earlier in this thread we need to update our direct deposit information when we can
When I went to Get My Payment App it gave me the option to enter my direct deposit information do to IRS NOT HAVING my direct deposit info on file and that it will be sent shortly and would receive an email or can check the website for updates. So if you tried it and received a message stating you were receiving the refund to be sent to the last 4 digits of your ssn, that means your stimulus payment is scheduled and will be mailed out. (See in parenthesis below) Sorry that sucks I am in the same boat hoping this doesn’t delay my refund longer all because I got an advance tax refund on Turbocard that I tried for the first and last time. To top it off my fiancé is on Ssdi and we too were also assured their was nothing he needed to do, WRONG so we both got screwed on being delayed on much needed funds to pay bills with and we have 3 young children.
(Get My Payment” cannot update bank account information after an Economic Impact Payment has been scheduled for delivery. To help protect against potential fraud, the tool also does not allow people to change bank account information already on file with the IRS.)
