I received a letter from the irs saying I owe money from 2018 taxes

The letter you received from the IRS give detailed information on why the IRS believes you owe additional taxes on the 2018 tax return.  The letter also should give you instructions on what to do if you agree or disagree with the IRS conclusions.  There should be a phone number for you to call if you need more information or have questions.

TurboTax receives no information whatsoever from the IRS concerning your tax return or any tax refund once the return has been accepted by the IRS.

Tell us what reason the letter gives for why you owe money, and the notice number or letter number (starting with CP or LTR) at the top right. If the letter says there was something wrong or missing in your tax return, or proposes changes to the tax return, what exactly does it say?
