Accepted on the 25th letter dated Feb14, spoke to them 19, they staged it will be 60 days, or after, told me there was nothing I could do or submit they wouldn't tell me what's wrong
Anyone have an update today on their refund?
Still in the same boat. Received my letter on 2/14 and still nothing. IRS website says "Taking longer than normal for processing". I was really hoping this didn't get drug out and still get a deposit but I'm losing hope.
Same. I keep hoping and then nothing I’m so tired of this. We are supposed to be able to count on the irs for our money since if we owe they would definitely hound us down but nope. I need that money my kids need things my husband is the only one that works and I have a medical condition with no insurance and an appointment coming up that’s going to cost 600 dollars. I’m over this I need my money and the irs won’t do anything.
Just reading this conversation. I received my letter on 2/11/22 and still waiting with the “processing is taking longer then expected” phrase. Just curious on the status of everyone who responded with receiving their letter this year? Has anyone received their refund?
Nope I still have a 570 code on my transcript as well. Hopefully something changes soon I can’t take much more of the struggle.
Has anyone that gotten this letter been approved and got their refund yet?
You just need to be patient with the IRS this year. All the letter means is that they are verifying your income and income tax withholding. This is not an audit and the IRS is verifying just about everyone that has EIC and Advanced Child Tax Credit.
Refunds are taking longer than normal. The 60 days is just an estimated time period, it could be in fewer than 60 days or it could be longer than 60 days. The 60 days is not up yet. My guess is you will hear something within the next week or so.
Still nothing.... No other letter or any change online. Ughhhhhh 😫
I guess my issue is I can’t be patient unfortunately I have a medical condition and have a neurologist appointment coming up and I was counting on that money to help me pay for my appointment. I have never had this issue before so I didn’t even know that they held anyones returns before this year. I had heard about peoples returns taking forever last year because of COVID but I figured that’s all it was and if I rescheduled my appointment I would have to wait another 5-6 months to get into see the neurologist and I’m already out of work right now so I can’t wait that long. I just feel so stuck I wish no one had to go through this.
I got the same letter, on a simple tax refund. Has anyone gotten their refund yet after getting the letter?
Tax expert advice is always “be patient” but is the IRS “patient” when you owe them? No, they’ll literally confiscate the sh*t you own to get their money.
OR you get someone who replies to 4464C questions by copying & pasting what’s on the IRS website. Gee thanks that’s a big help! Like we’ve not all read that a hundred times!
I’m p*ssed. It’s a Joke. It takes minutes for the government to find out any information they want to know about anyone! So 60 days on ANY refund is outrageous unless you’re a multimillionaire! I’ve read at least a hundred post online, from a dozen different forums, left by people (AMERICAN CITIZENS-TAXPAYERS!) who waited up to 8 months to a year on their refund after the 4464C letter. After weeks researching I’ve only found 2 people who got their refund reasonably quick after this letter, (one was on this forum.) Good luck calling the IRS or a Tax Advocate because they won’t help you AT ALL until the 60 days is up, in other words that big SCREW YOU the IRS attached to the letter. Complete Bullsh*t.
Not yet that I know of. I’m hoping for an update on my transcript on Friday but I’m not holding my breath.
It's because TurboTax software was not up to date they didn't submit the correct, so all our information that we entered looks fraudulent to the IRS, so everyone will probably have to do an amendment we have to wait on the IRS to return with instructions you will have to wait the full 60 days. I don’t think you needed to post it five times.
