Is it possible to get a refund check from one state in the mail, and get the other state and federal refund electronically?

Unless there is a restriction placed by the state that requires you to receive your refund in a form other than a check in the mail, you should be able to request the form of refund you would like to receive for each return that you file.  You are not required to use the same form of refund for all returns.
