Is it possible for filing to be accepted/rejected during the weekend?

Decided to cut the cord and file my taxes without the help of the moms. She got an e-mail about the 48 hold on her account and called the number in the email immediately. Did her calling not release the hold on my filing? Getting well past the 24-48 hour range when I was suppose to find out if my filing was accepted.

I understand this could possibly be a result of the large volume of filings at the moment. Is it possible for it to change from pending over the weekend or should I not expect anything till Monday?

Although IRS processing can happen any day your bank still must acknowledge and post the deposit ... that can take up to 3 business days ... check with your bank.
