Has anyone received their 2022 Maryland refund yet?

That's my story. I files on 2/11/22 and it'a May 19th and still nothing!

When I filed it said maryland accepted the state return. The phone system said it wasn't received, the "Where's my state refund" states that it has ben received and is being processed. Conflicting messages. I filed 2/11/22.

I filed mine on the same day you did and they were accepted I called the comp Controllers Office at the end of March they told me I had to wait 60 days so I called back on April 13th they said they were putting in to their supervisor for it to be process and didn't give me any more information I called back on April 20th was told I had to wait 7 to 10 business days I called back today which is April 27th and was told it is on a supervisor's desk but they are just in the beginning of February so it's going to be a couple more weeks there sorry for any inconvenience and I said to the guy wall if I owed Maryland money they would want it in full or what a payment plan and then want to start taking interest and I asked

My State tax refund was accepted on April 9th and its been over 2.5 weeks and status shows as not processed yet. Based on your MD state tax returns accepted days, how many days later did you finally receive your refund ? I am trying to see if there is a trend on certain number of days it takes to get the refund.

I have called numerous times myself and they said the same thing. They put a note in for the supervisor but nothing still. I have never waited this long like really????

@peteslc  so I filed my MD return on 3/1 I received a letter dated 3/3 saying they were doing a quality assurance review and that at this time I did not need to do anything, and that if I haven’t heard from anyone or received my return within 60 days to call. Today is 4/29 it’s been 57 days, Monday will be 60 and I still have not heard from anyone or received my refund. I’ve tried calling to no avail so I emailed them a week ago, and was told I needed to give them sufficient time and it can take 60 days or more. I too would like to know if anyone who’s received that letter has gotten theirs and how long it took. If anyone can provide the dates that would be super helpful.

@Rdickson76   What state representative did you call, it’s been 61 days and I still haven’t gotten mine. I also received a letter saying I was selected for a quality assurance review, however mine said it could take 60 days. Still no refund and still haven’t heard from anyone. I’m beyond stressed and need my money !

I  just talked to MD State Tax Department about my MD refund. I have been MD resident for 40 years and I never had issue with my refund. Now they tell me they investigate my information on Tax return. What? I never received letter from them. Also, I was told that it will take 60 days to process my return. So annoying!

I received the same letter and have not got nothing I was told they were going to send it to the supervisor but they were behind Andrews only at the beginning of February's tax return and that was on April 27 and I was asked to give them a couple more weeks and I should see my return

No I have not got it yet I'm still waiting and I haul every Wednesday to see what is going on and they just tell me the same thing we're at the beginning of February's taxes and that it's on a supervisor's desk to be reviewed and it shouldn't be more than a couple weeks please be patient is what they tell me and that they're sorry for any inconveniences

I just wanted to give everybody a heads up that has gotten the letter and has been calling it took me 84 days and they just made a deposit into my account today for my refund so all I can tell you guys is keep calling and keep your fingers crossed I wish you all the bes

I finally got an answer as to what the hold up was. They apparently need me to submit my w-2/1099 forms from 2019, 2020, and 2021. They said they didn't receive them and they need to verify my income...

@Khianta1977   Not sure if you received yours yet but I just wanted to put an update in for those still waiting because it seems like many don’t report back once they have theirs!

I filed 3/1, and received the quality assurance review letter 3/3 that said to allow up to 60 days! It’s 5/5 and After 63 days mine finally shows it will be direct deposited today. I contacted the ombudsman as well as the general tax help via email on Monday 5/2, this was the 60 day mark for me. I received an email back on Wednesday 5/4 that said my return had just been cleared from the quality assurance check Tuesday 5/3 and that my refund should be released within the next couple days, but to allow 7-10 for it to be in my account. Today 5/5 the Maryland where’s my refund tool shows my money will be deposited today!

I know there are many ppl waiting well past 60 days, I would suggest contacting the Ombudsman, TurboTax won’t let me include the email but it’s ombudsman at marylandtaxes dot gov  be sure to specify your full name, the date you filed, the last 4 of your ss#, your address, phone number, your refund amount and if you have it I would also include the CAMS ID that was on the letter if you received one.
