The IRS is seriously backlogged due to all the extra stimulus filings, as well as a few million unprocessed 2019 returns left over from the COVID shutdown. Contacting them will not help, and the IRS has implored taxpayers not to call them. Lots of other folks are still waiting, so please continue to be patient. Also see:

Me: Filed March 1. Return still being processed.
Wife: Filed March 19. Refund date 03/31.
We both used Turbo Tax.
We filed Married Separately. The whole backlog thing is a joke.
I’m so tired of the federal government using COVID as an excuse not to do their jobs. I’ve had to go back to work and yet they still are under staffed, work from home, etc. They can take 2 years to get your refund to you but they won’t wait 2 minutes before taxing money from you or levying your accounts.
