Get My Payment status

I'm curious if anyone else also not received so much as a status update since entering their information into the IRS Portal. I updated banking info on Wednesday morning and haven't gotten a payment date or anything at all. My taxes for both 2018 and 2019 were approved quickly with no issues, my information is up to date. I'm just kind of at a loss here. Have the rest of you who received their refund on the TT card gotten a DD date after updating?  Thanks!

Same. I cannot figure out why I haven't gotten an update when others have already gotten a date their checks will be mailed out... I thought direct deposits would hit before they started sending out checks!

I'm just as lost I haven't received anything and I did my filing on 3/1/20, approved on3/4/20 and haven't received anything or any update. I'm furious

I was able to update last Wednesday with the correct information, but I've been stuck in limbo ever since. When I say I haven't gotten a status update, what I mean is that I have had this confirmation since I updated without any change. Everyone else seems to be getting a date for a check or deposit, I'm just confused why I am not.Screen Shot 2020-04-18 at 7.59.22 AM.png

Yes; there are a LOT of us on here in the same situation, therefore (since I'd assume the vast majority of TurboTax/Turbo Card users don't use this forum) I'd say the issue is very widespread. All pretty much the same situation, put direct deposit information in the "Get My Payment" page immediately, and haven't had an update since...meanwhile seeing plenty of other people put their info in and get DD updates overnight and/or receive checks. Not much any of us can do about it, but you're definitely not alone.

When you input your direct deposit information into the Where's My Payment tool at the IRS, it will not result in an instant or next day payment.

While the IRS has not shared with us (or anyone) the payment schedule, we do know that how quickly the deposit is made after this depends on a variety of factors including whether the IRS has sufficient data on file to determine your payment eligibility and amount.  The tool is a way to provide part of the information to the IRS, but it is not the tool that disburses the money - other applications must process your data to get the payments to you.

The IRS tool is, unfortunately the only way to check on your status.  Once you have entered your data, you can check up to once daily for the update that will reflect your payment date.

There is a ton of data being processed for hundreds of millions of taxpayers, and the IRS is working to get payments out to folks as quickly as possible, but the process has just begun and it will take a number of weeks yet to complete.

Per the Washington Post, this is the schedule for paper stimulus checks to be sent, and would explain some people being "skipped" in this past week's update. Many individuals that were initially told that they'd receive a direct deposit after entering their information later updated to a paper check, so there's reason to believe that's applicable also. Note that unless you believe the Washington Post to be a "rock solid source", this is still conjecture.

Thank you for giving me a little bit of insight. It's just crazy to me that I hadn't even received some sort of change in status at all. I understand that nothing would be immediate (we've all seen how discombobulated tax season is), but I was expecting at least something to let me know how to expect it at the very least.
