Just got off the phone with TurboTax - he suggests to wait 1 more day and the delay possibly because there are so many people filing the first week. My reply was if it's a nationwide delay from IRS, wouldn't it be on the news already? Sigh...I'll wait till end of this weekend and see what happens.
The only difference this year compared to previous years is we bought a used EV to claim the $4k tax credit (Form 8936).
we have the EV tax credit as well! Perhaps this is what is holding it up? I wish TT could have confirmed that.
I asked the rep and he said that wouldn't be the reason for the delay. 😑
I actually found a thread not on Turbo Tax. We’re all stuck in pending. What we all have in common is an EV.
So if there is not logical reason for this hold up, no similar filing times, no similar "unusual tax circumstances," then logically it makes sense that it's a TT issue.
EV AND Turbo Tax connection?

Someone posted a link to yet another thread regarding people who bought EVs in the comments.
Great so I originally said that I bought my EV but then it said I didn't qualify. So maybe it didn't remove that form even though I deleted it? I think you're right and I think that's the connection but how is it going to get fixed? I will be on the phone with them again tomorrow if that's the case!
This was super helpful. We didn't transfer credit to the dealer, if that helps solve the puzzle any. So frustrating. Seems to be more specific to TT and the credit.
Just wanted to say thank you to this whole thread, btw. Feels so much better knowing there is a common theme instead of a massive mess up. I'm still mad that TT couldn't figure it out, but I understand their customer care team is probably trying to figure out who they are asking to prom and stuff.
We did transfer the credit to the dealership and received a notice from the IRS in the mail telling us which forms to file.
Now we know why, but not how to fix it!
Yes i got ev
