e-filing Amended Return

I amended my Federal and two state returns via TurboTax.  Although I e-filed the original returns via TurboTax, I received the message that "e-Filing is Closed for the Season - You Can File by Mail."  However, the TurboTax instructions for one of the states say that "Do not mail a paper copy of your tax return.  Since you filed electronically, the Kentucky Department of Revenue already has your return."

Don't worry about that warning, it's confusing because it refers to the original state tax return that was successfully e-filed before (Form 740), not the amended return you're trying to complete now (Form 740-X). If e-filing is closed for that state, then you will certainly have to file your amended return on paper.
