bank account number error

i just realized i made an error on my bank account number for direct deposit and my return already got accepted. Is there a way to change it still????

You are not able to make changes to your bank account information on your tax return once it has been filed and accepted by the IRS. Once your tax refund has been sent to the bank by the IRS, the bank should then reject the funds and send it back to the IRS. The IRS will then issue a tax refund check and mail it to the address on your tax return. Once this is done, you should receive the check via mail within 14 business days.
