QBI for 2018

IRS has asked for the form 8995-A for 2018 to allow my deduction for QBI.  There is no form for 2018 on the IRS/forms website or with my Turbo Tax software (only the worksheet with the software) which I provided to the IRS.  They however have changed my refund disallowing the

QBI deduction because I did not provide a form that does not exist for 2018.  Any suggestion?

QBI for 2018

you are correct. there were no 8995 forms of any type for 2018

download form 8995A for 2019 - complete it but mark out 2019 and write in 2018

read the instructions to see if you need to include any schedules.

or you could call the IRS and ask them exactly what they want because the 2018 form did not exist.

QBI for 2018

I took the suggestion to use the 2019 form for 2018.  Sounds reasonable but knowing the IRS...

Calling the IRS is  not an option (I have tried) as the crickets have taken over the phones there.
