I finally got through by phone to a person at Turbotax and they agreed that they made an error on my Virginia tax return. They claimed it was a typing error. The state amended the return but the error caused a two month delay in getting a tax refund. Turbotax helped me file a request for refund of the state filing fee and sent an email with a case number, a notice that they would review the request within 5-7 business days, and an internet address fo track the status of the refund.
BUT...turbo strikes again...that URL is only for requesting a refund. There is no way to enter a refund request case number.
Do they stay up late finding ways to screw the customer?
