Hi, I e-filed and was accepted on April 6th. As of right now, I'm stuck at return received..still being processed etc etc. I looked at my return (zero income) and zero refund but the "Child Tax Credit" box was checked next to my kid's entry. We don't qualify and nothing shows on refund line, but could this be a reason to delay so they double check it even if no refund is being asked? Or is the IRS late even with e-filing?
Thanks

That has nothing to do with the processing of a stimulus filing ... the IRS is just not running at full steam and everything is taking longer to process ... patience will be needed by all at this time.
Thanks Criter. So are you noticing general delays for a lot of people in processing stimulus delays? It makes sense Covid and all, just want to find out if others are experiencing delays.
