  • I filed my taxes in late Jan. ,I received my state refund right away but my Federal refund has just said it's being processed for months now and I don't understand why. This I believe has also held up my stimulus payment as it has stated I'm eligible but that's as far as I've gotten. I was imprisoned 9 years and didn't file for that whole time so I don't know if that has affected it or not. How can I talk to a live person to find out ?

Nothing you can do but wait ... the IRS was effectively closed for more than 10 weeks and all returns have been delayed.
