PENDING STATE RETURN

I filed both state and federal on Turbo Tax. Federal was accepted and I already got refund. State shows pending.  When I check status on state (Colorado) website, it says it can't find the info so hasn't been received. My question is:  If I just fill out my state return on the state website and submit it, will the "pending" return in Turbo Tax also be submitted and if so, will it cause any problems or delays? And also, how do I know when TT is going to actually transmit my state return? I don't want to wait around for the unknown when I can just submit it right on the state website in a matter of minutes.

Hope this all made sense and TY TY to any and all replies /assistance!  #Ihatedoing taxes

PENDING STATE RETURN

Since the State of Colorado opened late for accepting returns, they have been quite backlogged in accepting them. Please be patient and allow the Agency to process the large number of returns that came thought to them all at the same time.

PENDING STATE RETURN

Thanks for the reply.  I submitted my Federal and State on the very first day that Turbo Tax allowed them to be done. Then, when the IRS began accepting mine was immediately accepted and refund sent within 12 days after acceptance, therefore, my State should have been fairly close to the first batch accepted once they opened. My question was not answered at all. IF I SUBMIT THE STATE RETURN DIRECTLY ON THE STATE WEBSITE EVEN THOUGH IT SHOWS PENDING IN TT, WILL THAT MESS ANYTHING UP?

PENDING STATE RETURN

Submitting your return a second time could cause additional delays in processing your return.  It is better to allow a little more time for the state to get through the backlog, which includes returns filed by all methods including directly on the state's website.
