Payment recieved

IRS received my payment of my 2019 taxes On July 6 2020 - I went in  to look at my transcript and it says no

tax forms received - under transaction - No tax form received - Code 601 payment sent with return - what does this mean - How do I rectify this situation.  Thank You

Options:

 

  1. If you mailed in your tax return with your payment attached, the IRS would cash the check and mark that you did not file a tax return. Checks should not be attached to the return. The return is not processed. You need to mail your tax forms again.
  2. If you filed electronically, you need the DCN. The DCN is how the IRS tracks tax returns.
    1. Call our customer support line, they should be able to tell you your DCN after verifying it is you. You can fill this form out for someone to call you from TurboTax
    2. Once you have the DCN, you can call the IRS and give it to them to trace. Call the IRS at 800-829-1040 and try not to push buttons so a human will answer.
