Paying taxes

Good afternoon,

On 3/25/2022 I filed my federal and state taxes. I placed payment date for 3/25/2022 for both.

Today is 3/26/2022 and money has not been withdrawal from the account.

I'm positive there were no errors on the account information.

Any idea why IRS has not withdrawal money yet?

You e-filed on 3-25 and chose that same day for the direct debit? Give it a few days----the IRS cannot always react that quickly. Watch your bank account for the debit.

Funds are usually withdrawn on the payment date you specify in TurboTax provided your e-filed return has already been accepted by the IRS. Additionally, if the date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the funds are typically withdrawn the next business day.
