Specifically wanted and called in for a refund of the MAX purchase of $60. This is because after purchasing MAX I found the identity theft does not cover a family (only individual) or have the option to upgrade to that afterwards, that was the only reason for purchase as I'm unlikely to get audited (sub $100k income). It never made mention of it being an individual only license and honestly didn't give much info in general on what all the identity theft portion entailed (had to search everywhere for info!).
All this to say...why can you not get a refund on an online product?
Also burying something like no refunds to your purchase in the small text isn't cool.

Same conclusion as before but now just wasting more of my time. I already understand that it's written in the fine print somewhere that there are no refunds for online products...now confirmed twice to that point. My question is why? I mean it's not like I ate half of an apple and tried to return it.
The argument back to me is I'm given the opportunity to confirm my purchase...yes that's how it works basically everywhere you buy something so I do not get that reasoning. Unless I'm mistaken at no point before hitting that final confirm button am I given the opportunity to actually test out the id theft protection and come to an educated conclusion that it fits my needs. I came to that conclusion after purchase, it doesn't fit, I have no value coming from this, and my recourse is I'm out of luck chuck. 0 days test period.
I'd recommend rethinking this policy, something like this sours me to Turbo Tax which is a shame because everything else has been so good.
Thank you for the feedback, please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information:
Can I get a discount or refund for MAX features I don't use?
Thank you for including that article but I have already read that and it does not address what I'm saying. That article is asking for refunds on parts of the MAX you don't use. I don't want the entire MAX.
