I filed my 2018 return a few days ago. It has been accepted by the IRS. I need to amend the return. How can I do this before it is processed?

this is for 2018 not 2017

Once the return has been filed it cannot be stopped (unless you get extremely lucky and IRS would reject it for some reason).

So you have to wait for the return to be processed and you get your refund.

Then approx mid-February you can sign back into TurboTax and do the Amended return.
