I filed 2/6 accepted same day. got letter. sent in what they asked for. still nothing. refund still processing.

Sorry guys! This is so frustrating. I haven’t gotten a letter. Transcripts are blank. And after 2 hours on hold monday was told I’ll either get a letter or a refund and to be patient. But I have never waited this long! Grrrrrr

Faxed 1095 and 8962 on 3-1
Refund amount disappears and tax topic 152 shows on 3-9.
Tax topic disappears and refund amount reappears with being refund accepted and approved on 3-16.
DDD of 3-20.
So guys if you fax everything they need and it looks good it shouldn’t take 6-8 weeks.
Also wmr only updates on Saturday morning for me good luck everybody. I hope this helps.

Good to know. But when I call they say they don’t need anything and I should be patient. It’s frustrating.

All you can do is be patient. It’s a long process but calling them everyday won’t help if you’ve all ready talked to them and sent everything. I didn’t get a tax transcript or use a tax advocate unlike some people. I just think calling them every other day and waiting 30 mins at a time is stressful.

@lesliebaum2 Right so I say after faxing those forms in for me it took a little over 2 weeks for them to give me a DDD. That was March 1 to March 20. So to everyone in this comment thread. The 6-8 weeks is just an estimation. I’ve read some people got their refund 10 days after the IRS CONFIRMS they received your forms. So patience is a virtue.

I got 2nd letter today. First letter said 45days, this letter says 60 days. No explanation. Says I don't need to do anything. Said they are "working" on it. So with first letter it was April  and now it's into May. I just don't get this. My form is so simple my grand children could do b the math.

F/A 2/17.. I had one bar until 3/9 and the bars disappeared to still processing and TT152. I haven’t received another update yet. I haven’t called because I don’t have any other codes, haven’t received any letters.. I see people who filed after the 20th with DDD, but most people whom file the same date as me through the 19th haven’t updated yet. Do you think I will get an update soon? I think it may have something to do with my file date and the fact that they were closed on 2/18 for the federal holiday. That leads me to think that maybe they didn’t start processing my return until the week of 3/4 since I updated on 3/9. Usually I get my refund back in 2 -21/2 weeks after filing.

All I know, is that for over 40 years I've never had a problem and now my refund is no where in sight when i always got mine in less than 2 weeks and I'm receiving letters that tell me to do nothing. I file a very simple form so it's all confusing to me and I don't how or where to get the answers. I'm told now I might get an answer mid May or maybe I'll get another letter.
I think I'm just giving up at this point. I've researched trying to find answers, but I haven't found anything helpful or hopeful at this point.

This current letter is from I&VO. Integrity and Verification Operations. I've never even heard of this part v of the IRS and researching it leads no where.

I heard that a lot of people have received those letters that file January thru Feb 5th for the most part. But it seems this was something done since the IRS is behind due to a back log which was created due to the government shut down. I was also told that the IRS was approved to have an additional two week extension due to the back log. I’ve notice on other forums that although some who filed after the 2/15 did get DDD, most have been people to get DDD are people prior too 2/15. But idk... I can assure you that you aren’t the only one nor am I. There’s another forum and those people are asking the same questions as we are. But if it helps I have read on that forum that they too received the same letters as you did and a week or two after received a DDD. I didn’t call because I read on there that it wasn’t good to keep calling because it sometimes causes them to flag your return for review. I don’t know what to think but I’m trying to remind positive. I know everyone need their money and we should have it because we worked hard for it! It seems like they’re playing with our minds because they can! It was said that there’s another update tonight but who truly knows.
