I really hope that someone puts together a class action lawsuit against the Turbo Tax. Sign me up!
I have NEVER in all my years had $878.00 taken out of my return and been told it was just fees. Processing fees, bank fees, and state tax fees. NEVER AGAIN!
I'm already struggling as a single parent and was needing to get my car fixed and pay off some bills but then I get this deposit today from some TPG Santa Barbara. At first, I thought it was a deposit made in error to my bank account so I was calling my bank to dispute it, and then I thought I would look them up. Well low and behold, it's the bank that Turbo Tax is using now for their refunds. AT NO TIME did it say that I was going to be charged for bank fees on top of overpriced processing fees!!! NO WHERE was there any information given to me on this before I clicked send.
I will file on my own the old-fashioned way going forward. Screw you Turbo Tax for ruining a good thing.

That doesn't sound right for fees. I would review what your fees were and have included instructions below. Are you sure your refund wasn't offset? The IRS and State Governments have the ability to offset a refund to pay for certain past due debts. You generally will receive a letter stating what the offset was for.
The IRS provides a toll-free number, (800) 304-3107, to call for information about tax offsets.
To see your fees, go to: Tax Tools and Tools. These are down the left side of the screen in a black border. Follow these directions.
