Need to take depend off before it's accepted

If you have NOT e-filed yet then you can go to My Info to remove a dependent from your return. If you already e-filed you have to wait until the return has been fully processed and then prepare an amended return.

Once you have already filed, you have to wait. If it's rejected, you can make changes and resubmit. If accepted, you can't. Come back after March 18 to do a 1040-X amended return.
