Does that mean you entered the wrong SSN or that you entered the wrong Soc Sec income data?   (This is a public Internet forum, so don't post any personal info in this public forum.)

Is your return still in the preparation stage, or have you already efiled, and if efiled, is the status "pending" or accepted/rejected?

If you put an incorrect Social Security number on your return, and filed it, the IRS will probably reject it.  In any case you will have to wait for the IRS to reject or accept the tax file.

If it is rejected:

You can then re-enter your return, and correct the error.

1. You will go to Personal Info
2. Press the little arrow to the right of your name.
3. Follow the interview to correct the Social Security number.

If for some reason it is accepted:

• You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return. 
• Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.  
• The refund calculator will start ‌at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due 
• Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected. 
• You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment
