if my income is 577 over my deductions don't I owe taxes of $59 if I file single?

Not necessarily. If some of that $577 taxable income figure came from long term capital gains or Qualified Dividends, then (in your bracket) those are taxed at 0%. So your tax amount will be less than the tax table shows. TurboTax calculates this automatically.
