Processing times vary from state to state and it's not uncommon to receive your federal refund before state; or vice versa. Your
federal refund comes from the IRS treasury department while your state refund
will come from your state treasury department. They generally come at separate
times. You can
use your State Department of Revenue's website to check the status of your
state tax refund. If that site is down, I'm certain it will be back up and working properly very soon.
