My federal return was accepted 5 weeks ago. The IRS doesn't have any information on the status of my return. What should I do?

It has been more than 21 days and I haven't even received a pending status or anything. Turbotax says that it was accepted.

You can check the IRS website under Refunds tab to check the status of your return. The  IRS started processing electronically filed income tax returns on a first in, first out basis in February 12, 2021  The refunds are processed within 21 business days after IRS acceptance of the electronically filed return.

Please open TurboTax and confirm that your return shows as accepted.  If it says Rejected you will have to go back and correct it. 

If you've confirmed that you filed you can check the status of your return at the IRS website WheresMyRefund.com

If it's been filed you can contact the IRS.  You can call toll-free at 1-800-829-1040 or visit a Taxpayer Assistance Center Local IRS Office
