My 2019 tax return is still being processed and it has been over a month since I e-filed it.

Please, I know how to use WMR tool to check the status, so don’t tell me to do it. The bar is gone and it says your refund date will be provided when available. I really need tax refund and stimulus check to survive through this pandemic. Can anyone please help me to get to talk to an IRS agent?

Unfortunately, the IRS is closed at this time due to Covid-19, & they also are not accepting phone calls. They are still processing e-filed returns but it is taking them longer because they are backed up.   I know you don't want to hear it but the only thing you can due right now is keep checking the IRS website, Where's My Refund, it updates once a day.

There is no way to get in contact with an IRS agent because they are currently not taking phone calls.

TurboTax gets no information about the status of your refund.
In normal times, the IRS says that most filers get their refunds within 21 days from the time their tax return is accepted.
Many returns are taking longer now since the IRS did not process returns for a while and there is now a big backlog of unprocessed returns.

It is March 29, 2021, and the IRS says my return is till being processed.  No one answers the phone.  Am I just screwed or do I have any recourse?  I'm sure I'm not the only one.

It's March 29, 2021 and my 2019 tax refund is still being processed according to the IRS Where's My Refund checker.  What do I do when I can't get anyone on the phone?  I efiled thru Turbotax and need your help BAD.

@writersrescue You did not mention when the 2019 tax return was filed. If it was filed in early 2020 as it normally would have, so you have been waiting a year or more for your refund, you could print it out, sign it and mail it back in, as it must have gotten lost in the system somehow.

If you filed it more recently, then you will just have to wait as the IRS is busy working on 2020 tax returns for now.

TurboTax cannot help you with this, as they have no authority to contact the IRS regarding your tax return.
