I installed 2022 tax and efiled with an email stating irs accepted my return. This was done on my old computer running win 20.
today i bought a new macbook m2. I installed 2022 turbotax. Move the .tax2022 file over. Start up app and pointed to the .tax2022 file and showed with no errors.
However, it states that i have not efiled . I was hoping to have the same status that i have completed efile ( federal)
i am afraid to efile again to get the correct status in fear that i might confuse my successful irs efiling acceptance.
i also used the pull down menu to check status of my efil which turbotax said i have not efile.
what should i do? I really want to start using my macbook instead of win . Thanks

Turbo Tax for Windows and Mac do function differently. For the 2022 year, you would refer to the status on the Windows PC, as there is no way to transfer the status of the e-filed over to the Mac.
You can track your Federal refund by visiting the Where's My Refund tool.
To check your state refund status, please click here.
Please do not file the return again, as the email and Windows OC both show you have filed.
