On the turbotax app + on the IRS website it told me how much my federal refund was and then when I got my refund from TPG the amount didn’t match. I was Told I was Getting $1618 from federal and only got $56 that is way more than the turbo tax fee I agreed to. Where is the rest of my money? IRS said there was no issue and they sent it… so where is it?

The third Economic Impact Payment of $1400 per person was sent out in March of 2021. The IRS may be saying you got it and are asking for it again on you return.
That would make sense if I got the third payment and I never did. I even called the IRS and I do not have any offsets
If you have an amount on line 30 for the Recovery Rebate Credit (the 3rd Stimulus) and the IRS took it off they think they sent it to you. Maybe it went to an account you don't remember. Or you got a check or a card. It was probably easy to miss the debit card in the mail and think it was junk mail. They have to put a trace on it.
Double check your bank accounts and check both your IRS accounts if married to see when and how much the IRS sent you.

I’ve done the trace and checked records. Posting on this forum was my last effort to contact someone since I can not get any help. I never received the third payment. It’s not on line 30. I only have one bank account and one address (did not move) nothing was sent. $1618 was my federal amount owed approved on IRS page and turbo tax. IRS tracking page says that amount was sent but TPG only gave me $56. So there’s an issue with turbo tax.
Well since Turbo Tax never touches your refund that is a problem at TPG especially if the IRS sent the full amount. You have to find out from them.

Right, but since turbo tax chooses to use them as a third party it is their problem. TPG sends you back to turbo tax or the irs and will not resolve the issue. So leaves you at a stalemate. I’ve been fighting this since January 28th.

I’ve contacted them several times with zero response and never been able to talk to a human being from TPG. Great that this person was able to, but doesn’t help me with them. This is something turbo tax needs to fix since they hired the 3rd party person. I’m wanting to talk to someone from turbo tax to finally figure this out. Links to phone numbers or contacts I’ve already tried doesn’t really help. I appreciate the attempt but I need a turbo tax associate or higher up to fix this.
