Last year, I prepared my tax return using the application for MacOS. Unfortunately, the corresponding *.tax2022 file got lost, among others, by accident. I assumed that Intuit might have a copy since the e-filing was done through their system before continuing its route to the IRS. However, the website moves me in circles and does not provide me with the option to download (not even PDFs).

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Sorry if you used the Desktop installed program then the only copy is saved and stored on that computer and any backups you made. Not even if you efiled through Turbo Tax. Do you have TimeMachine on?
