<P>Is it okay that I make the payment I owed on IRS website before I mail 1040X out? Trying to reduce the potential penalty and also not feeling comfortable with mailing a check along with 1040X. Thx</P>

I e-filed my 2024 return in Feb. The IRS website confirms return received. It is possible to chase this up and get some timeline on the refund payment?

I had to make a small adjustment to my NC State return; it required a small adjustment to my federal. TurboTax says I owe my full federal amount again. Am I misreading?

I received my refund back in February but I amended my return to add a dependent and it shows adjusted on IRS website. Does it get direct deposited or do I get a check?
