Does anyone know when Massachusetts. Will start accepting returns I filed on Jan 24, 2025 and my federal got accepted a day later but today is the 28 and my mass state return still says pending

How long it takes a state to accept a return varies.  Even if the IRS has already accepted your return, the official start date for this tax season is January 27. If your Massachusetts return shows as "pending" it means that it's been sent to the state and it's waiting for them to process it.
