Hi, I started my 2019 Taxes but I can not for the life of me, find my 2018 taxes (both electronic file back and the hard copy) We moved and I cleared off my computer to send it into Bestbuy for a drive upgrade. Not I can't find it. I may have deleted it.
Ques: Is there anyway to get an electronic version of my 2018 taxes from the IRS?
I did the desktop/laptop version, not the online version.
Thanks for any help here.

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
For a fee of $50 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf
Thanks DoninGA!
Question: Any way to get the electronic version from the IRS?
If not, is the transcript enough to fill out my 2019 taxes, ie: the Sched C etc.
Thanks again.
The IRS does not provide an electronic file of your tax return, unfortunately. The tax transcript will have the line item descriptions and amounts from the Form 1040 only. If you had any assets that were depreciated or any carryovers, those will not be included.
